You can tell a lot about a person from how they treat the “least” among us, especially children, the elderly, service staff, disabled, and the down trodden.
You can also tell a lot about someone by how he or she treats strangers or the “other”. Someone who disrespects or takes advantage of a stranger just because they “don’t know them” will have have no problem disrespecting or taking for granted a loved one just because they know them. That line is not hard to cross.
Barack Hussein Obama will always be one of my role models of greatness, next to “the Great One” Nelson Madiba Mandela and Mwalimu (teacher) Julius Nyerere.
I wish I could be half as humble as they are.
Blessed are the humble: for they shall inherit the earth – (Matthew 5:5)
