Q: What should I know before I sign up for coaching?
I do not advice or encourage “no contact”, “limited contact”, “giving space” or any fear/avoidance strategies that involve moving away from what you want instead of moving towards it. I am about open and honest communication, emotional connection, healthy attachment and building bridges, not walls. So if you are choosing to work with me, it should be because you are in contact with your ex – and want to stay in contact. If you are in ‘no contact’ or are considering it, I am not the right coach for you.
First re-establish contact with your ex, then when you’ve had 4 – 6 responses from your ex in the last two weeks, contact me and I’ll help you take it to the next level.
It’ll really help you very much to spend a little more time reading my articles and familiarize yourself with my approach and views before signing up for coaching.
Q: Why do I have to be 25 – 75 years to qualify to work with you?
It’s not personal or a judgement against someone under 25. It’s just that I have a lot more success (and therefore more experience) working with men and women 25 years and older.
Q: What would you recommend: phone coaching, your eBook or eCourse?
It depends on what kind of information/help/support you need. Each person’s needs are different, and only you know what yours are.
Some people got their ex back using the advice in the eBook alone. Some people need individually tailored advice/support for their specific unique situation and sign up for coaching. Others have bought the eBook and signed up for coaching as well.
Q: Do I need to have read your eBook to work with you?
No. But the session is more productive for you if you have read Dating Your Ex. Some of the questions you may have may already be answered in more detail in the eBook. This gives us more time to focus on where you need help the most.
For on-going coaching, I recommend getting my eBook as well. Things move a lot faster when you have Dating Your Ex and email support to keep you on track and moving forward.
Q: Can I send you my story before signing up for coaching?
No. I don’t have the time to read, let alone respond to random emails asking for advice. My assistant goes through all emails sent to me and only forwards to me those that need my attention. Emails from random people asking for advice or talking about their relationship don’t get to me.
Q: What kind of information do I need to send you before the session?
I’ll be asking you to fill me on the history of your relationship during our phone conversation and will send you a brief outline of what to prepare for the session. Listening to your situation in real time gives me a better insight into who you are and what kind of help you need.
Q: How much would you charge me if I sent you a email with my situation?
I offer email coaching/sessions as part of the on-going coaching package (no extra charge), but no longer offer it as a separate package/service that you can purchase independently. There is not enough time to read and respond to emails anymore.
Q: What if I want something in between two packages?
I do not offer customized packages. We took into consideration a number of factors when designing our packages, and believe them to be reasonably structured and affordable.
Q: Do you do Skype, Face time, Snapchat?
No. I run a very tight schedule and from experience Skype etc, are not so reliable or clear sometimes. I make calls to mobile or landline phones only.
Q: Are phone sessions recorded?
The coaching relationship is built on trust. I do not record our phone sessions and will not share any information you provide with anyone.
If you’d like to record our sessions, I recommend discussing your request to record coaching sessions before you sign up for coaching.
Q: How do I start?
There are two simple steps to get started. The first step is to make payment via Paypal. The second step is to contact us via the contact form.
Q: Will I receive a confirmation after I book a session?
Yes. After you complete payment, use our contact form to send me an email with your receipt number, contact number and best day/time to call you, and we will respond confirming day/time of your appointment. We’ll send you possible days/times for us to speak and ask you to confirm if it works for you. We’ll not call or charge you for the session if you have not confirmed.
Q: What’s the best time to call you?
I call you on a landline phone or mobile. My work hours are 10 a.m – 10 p.m. EST (Toronto time) on Week day and 2 – 7 p.m. EST (Toronto time) on weekends.
Q: How effective are phone sessions?
Very effective. Phone sessions eliminate many of the obstacles that prevent people from seeking and receiving help/advice, such as geography, convenience for busy men and women, const-effectiveness and privacy/anonymity.
Coaching over the phone enhances your level of focus as there are fewer distractions, allowing for deeper and more focused communications between the client and coach.
Q: Is coaching covered by my insurance?
Most likely not. But you will need to check with your individual insurance carrier to find out if this is something they cover.
